Review account security after choosing a new password.
What this tells youA new password is followed by a security review.
Check recovery details and sessions. Do not assume a password change has settled every existing session or restored chat history.
A password is one kind of credential.
| Credential | Used for | Separate question |
|---|---|---|
| Account password | Signing in to the account. | Are old encrypted conversations restored? |
| Login verification code | A sign-in or account-security check. | Is the request really from the official flow? |
| Secure-storage PIN | Recovering saved encrypted history, when configured. | Do you still control that recovery method? |
Login restored. History still separate.
Changing an account password does not automatically restore a missing encrypted chat archive.
What a reset should lead you to check.
Can you sign in?
Confirm the intended account works through its official login method.
Do the settings fit?
Review linked recovery details and sessions you do not recognize.
Are earlier chats readable?
If not, inspect history restoration instead of repeating the password reset.
